What it is
PDF software. Editor, e-sign, reader, plus an AI assistant that summarises documents and answers questions about them. The PDF part is mature and widely used. The AI part is recent.
Why it is on an AI site
Being straight with you: Foxit is a PDF company that added AI, not an AI company. It is here because the assistant is a real feature people use daily on real documents, and because document question answering is one of the few AI use cases where accuracy is checkable. We will only be scoring the AI features. If you want a verdict on the PDF editor itself, that is not what this page is for.
Pricing
Foxit prices per product and per seat, and it varies by region and by whether you buy monthly, annually or perpetually. Check the current figure on their own store before committing. We will publish the tiers we actually bought, with the date, when we test.
Before you click through
Our link currently lands on the German store. That is how the affiliate link was issued to us and we are not going to quietly hide it. If you want another region, navigate from their homepage instead, and we will replace the link once we have a better one.
What we will test
The nine-task protocol is on the AI document tools page. The task that decides it is question answering across a 60 page contract we already know the answers to. A confidently wrong answer about a contract scores zero, because in documents a plausible wrong answer is more dangerous than no answer at all.
Our commercial relationship
We earn a commission if you buy through our link, via PartnerStack. We have not yet confirmed the rate against their partner terms, so it is not stated here. It will be, with the date we read it, before any score is published.
